HEY DESI is a South Asian nightlife and culture platform based in Amsterdam. For several years we have been creating experiences where South Asian heritage meets modern club culture.
Over the years HEY DESI has grown into a recognised name within the Dutch nightlife scene. From club nights to appearances at major festivals such as Lowlands and Amsterdam Dance Event, we bring together DJs, artists and audiences from across the South Asian diaspora and beyond.
Our sound goes beyond traditional Bollywood formats. Rooted in heritage and shaped by global club culture, HEY DESI reflects a new generation that moves between cultures and expresses that identity on the dancefloor.
Lab Sessions
Not a regular mix series. The Lab Sessions are where South Asian heritage meets today's club culture. Bollywood and Punjabi material pushed through a club filter, without scrubbing away the melodies that give those records their meaning.
